William Delahoy and Ellen Casey were married at St John's Church South Adelaide on 6 Mar 1851. Their first born, John William, was born on 1 Aug 1852 in the District of Murray, South Australia (appears to be an area east of Adelaide) and died of pneumonia five months later on 15 Jan 1853.
Pleasant Creek - A Short History
The original settlement of Stawell was at Pleasant Creek and consisted of Cooper, Longfield, Leslie, Burgh Streets running east west and Austin, Griffiths, Seaby and Foster Streets running north south, according to a map of the area dated 1858.
