We think this is the Bill who died in the outback and whose death was registered as Walter.

  • Notes
    • No further information found, thought to have died somewhere in the outback N.S.W. while droving.

He died on or about 18 December 1887 three miles north of Broken Hill, they thought he was about 27 and the cause of death was "strangulation, self inflicted". This means he was found hanged. He was buried in Broken Hill Cemetery in 1887. This death certificate incorrectly shows his name as Walter Delahoy but in fact it was William as Walter went on to have 7 children.
