      James Lyons Delahoy was born Feb,1822, in England. He married Ann(e) Wilkinson, who was born 16 Nov 1822 in England, She died 27 Jun 1902 from pneumonia and was buried 29 Jun 1902, Highland Cemetery, Cherry Creek, NY. James purchased a 26-acre farm in Cherry Creek in 1871. He gave the farm to Alice and husband in 1896. It was then sold to Frank's son Floyd and Frank's widow Orpha who later sold it for $1. To Van Vlack for a church camp. James died 17 Feb 1899 from heart disease, and was buried 20 Feb 1899, Highland Cemetery, Cherry Creek, NY. On the tombstone the last name is spelt Delehoy, however, the death certificate shows Delahoy. As many know many times recording of names is only as accurate as the recorder's diligence. The Jamestown newspaper wrote
