  1841 UK Census p7 Dist #13 Sutton St Nicholas HO107/611 Age shown as 9. Full name per W Delahoy James and David Delahoy left England about the same time that William went to Australia in 1849. Many reported that James and David first went to Canada then crossed into the United States. First mention I can find of either is in New York in 1852 Census. David Delahoy was born January 1832 in Lincolnshire, England, he married (1) Caroline ? Delahoy, born in 1835 In the 1855 census it showed David married to (2) Almira ?, born 1831, in Germany. . He later married (date unknown) (3) Lucy Dudley, born 4 Apr 1822, in Conewago, New York, died 5 Feb 1894, New York. I can find very little information about David. He was a miller and had leased a mill in Little Valley in 1863 but I could not discover him owning any land. David became a naturalized citizen on 28 Jun 1853. David died 20 Dec 1893 in Machias, NY at the age of 72, and buried 29 Dec 1893, Cherry Creek Central Cemetery, Lot 17 #287, Cherry Creek, NY. dbayette@worldnet.att.net
